Tiger’s Favorite Page

A quick story:

A few years ago a friend asked me to illustrate a book she wrote for her (at the time) upcoming baby. It’s the story about how their little family came together and I couldn’t resist the opportunity. My friends decided not to learn the sex of the baby and so kept referring to the baby as “tiger” instead of he or she, and so we decided to have the family in the book be tigers rather than humans.

Flash forward to yesterday. Tiger is now 21 months old and I’ve been helping with babysitting the last couple of months. I went over to their place and my friends tell me that recently Tiger re-discovered the book their mom and I made together and that Tiger has a favorite page. “Tiger feet!”
