Embrace Your Weird

I used to have a lot of weird ideas. Most of those ideas were for embroidery designs, but somewhere along the way I started to edit out the weirdos. I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s because I shifted focus to illustration and graphic design and embroidery became less and less of a regularity.

What. A. BUMMER.

Lately, I’ve been missing embroidery and my weird ideas, so the other day I decided to embrace both and just make something for no other reason than I had a weird idea and I wanted to work with thread again.

Behold! My latest weird art child…

A hot pink reusable grocery bag carrying a bunch of human skulls.

I have no other explanation other than, I wanted to make it. She’s out in the world now and people seem to really like her, which is a good reminder to always follow your weirdness.

People like to see what makes you weird. :)
